During the General Session of the Annual Membership meeting in April, RT & T Repair Inc of East Dubuque, Illinois was named our 2018 Truck Service Expert of the Year. Andy Miller, and his wife Kimberly, joined us in Orlando, Florida to accept the prestigious award. RT & T Repair is a Truck Service Expert of Midwest Wheel and was joined on stage by Jason Rose of Midwest Wheel's Des Moines location.

In December of 2012, RT & T Enterprises partnered with maintenance director, Andy Miller, to form RT & T Repair. Andy studied Diesel Technology at Universal Technical Institute in Glendale Heights, IL, graduating in 1995 at the top of his class. In October of 1995, he began a career in Heavy Truck Repair. Working for a Freightliner dealership for 16 years, Andy worked as a technician on the floor, was then promoted to a Foreman position overseeing 10 technicians, and finally upheld the Service Manager position responsible for 21 technicians. During his six years as Service Manager, his dealership was ranked #2 in the U.S. for customer satisfaction as ranked by J.D. Power. Andy currently staffs 10 shop employees and has steadily grown RT & T Repair, servicing many outside customers while maintaining RT & T's fleet since joining the company.

RT & T also values training. They not only participated in the inaugural Top Tech competition held in 2018, but their technician Brian Judy took 2nd place! Brian is also a finalist for the 2019 competition and will be headed to Maryland later this month to compete. RT & T Repair has built their company on the notion that honesty, professionalism, integrity and hard work will take them far, and are fortunate that it has because they don't know any other way to do things. They operate in a clean, professional environment.

To be honored as the Truck Service Expert of the Year, a company must excel in a number of categories. First, the company must support the HDA Truck Pride Truck Service Experts brand in their marketplace. Paschall presented the Miller's with their award and Andy took a moment to recognize his partnership with Midwest Wheel - a partnership that has allowed his business to Grow 191% in the last 2 years. "Midwest Wheel gives us the right parts at the right time to fix the trucks right the first time. This is a heck of an honor; many, many thanks to HDA Truck Pride for helping me grow our business."
